In times of economic uncertainty, it is even more important that students have access to varied work experiences to help prepare them for a broad field of employment options. For students who are engaged in virtual or remote education, a virtual work-based learning (WBL) experience can take the place of a community job.
Participants in this virtual session will learn:
- Why virtual WBL options are important for students and districts,
- The legal parameters of WBL with regard to state and federal guidelines including funding,
- How to use resources provided in the session to design virtual WBL experiences, and
- How to assess and report student progress.
This virtual session is offered via Zoom. The Zoom link, password, and handouts will be sent in advance of the session.
