Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Per AHA 2015 guidelines

The AHA’s new BLS Course has been updated to include science and education from the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC (Emergency Cardiac Care). It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.

In this Instructor-led course, participants will participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Participants work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Participants must also complete a written exam to receive certification. Cards are good for 2 years.  If your card has expired (which is past the last day of the month on the card) you must retake the whole course.

Important Session Information:

This is a CPR course for nurses, health aides, paramedics, etc., not for laypersons.

There is a written test as well as the skills test which have to be passed to receive your certification card that is good for 2 years.
