This session will guide early childhood special education (ECSE) teachers in writing developmentally appropriate goals and objectives aligned to the prekindergarten guidelines.
Participants will learn:
- The essential elements of Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP)
- How to write effective PLAAFPs that create a strong foundation for IEP goals and objectives
- How to write measurable IEP goals and objectives that address critical needs that keep the student from engaging in opportunities for inclusion, interfere with social interactions and hinder access to the curriculum.
- Gathering baseline data for progress monitoring
