Diabetic Care Provider Training of Unlicensed School Personnel
HB 984 Guidelines

Do you have diabetic students? This class will teach school personnel the basics to be considered Unlicensed Diabetes Care Assistants (UDCA). House Bill 984 states that each campus with a diabetic student is required to provide at least one UDCA if a full-time nurse is working at the school, or three UDCAs if the school does not have a full-time nurse. This full course must be taken to be compliant. See original HB 984 for full details. This course is for the unlicensed school personnel but nurses may attend. No CEUs available. A complete booklet of information will be provided to take back to your school.

Important Session Information:

This course is for those assigned to be UDCAs in the school, or for anyone interested about learning more about diabetes. LVNs must take this course, and RNs may take it to get the most up-to-date information. This is the full course and at least the refresher must be taken yearly.

Coordinated Health Co-op attend at no additional fee.
