Participants will work to create a Multi-Sensory Book to meet the needs of a student or group of students who have complex access and sensory needs. Participants will learn how to create and or adapt literacy experiences and materials to meet their student’s unique needs and preferences; including auditory, tactile, visual, kinesthetic, olfactory, and taste. The goal of this session is for participants to return to their classrooms with a completed multi-sensory book to use with students to increase literacy skills.

This is a two day session. Participants will need to register for day two separately. Day two participants will learn about the Active Learning Approach, for students with complex access and sensory needs, and how it relates to literacy.
