Word Study: Vocabulary Context & Connections to Grow Spellers, Readers, & Writers for Grades 6-12




Building students’ word knowledge will help strengthen foundational skills needed for them to become successful & fluent readers. Meaningful interactions with texts begin at the word level, and knowing & understanding word patterns is key for student understanding. You will walk away with a better understanding of how traditional vocabulary practices connect to word study, as well as various word study strategies & practices that you will be able to implement to strengthen your students’ reading skills. 

Important Session Information:


In this session, participants will engage in a face-to-face learning experience at ESC Region 12, and will walk away with ways to implement the learning in the classroom. 

Enhanced Curriculum Co-op members and SI Engage Campuses may attend at no additional fee. Continuous Improvement Campuses may attend for $45.
