Guided reading allows teachers to launch literacy learning by expanding reading ability within and beyond text. Join this session to understand the components and structure of a guided reading lesson, learn how to form appropriate groups, and identify appropriate texts for small group instruction. Participants will be provided with a variety of strategic ideas and resources they can implement immediately in the classroom. 

In this blended learning experience, participants will attend fact to face learning (4 hours) at ESC Region 12 and will complete an outside learning experience (2 hours) within a Canvas course including a one-hour follow up Zoom meeting for additional implementation reflection and support.
