A Perfect Pair: Connecting Number Operations and Early Literacy (PK-K)

Most people think of mathematics as separate from language and literacy. This session will help teachers see the important link between early math and literacy activities. Participants will experience ways to use rich children’s literature to develop children’s math vocabulary, launch number investigations, and specifically understand the complexity of number operations and literacy connections.  Join this session to “double” your understanding of math and literacy!

Important Session Information:

Enhanced Curriculum Co-op can attend at no additional fee. ECSE teachers may attend at a discounted rate.  Contact Rachel Page for the promotional code.

In this blended session, participants will attend a face to face learning experience at ESC Region 12 (5 hours) and then will complete an outside learning opportunity within an online Canvas course (1 hour).

Please note:

Participants may stay after the conclusion of the face-to-face portion of the session to begin work on the outside learning experience/assignment.
