The Sixth Floor Museum Educator Workshop
Grades 6-12 (Virtual Session)




Join the Sixth Floor Museum education staff on June 21st for a comprehensive teacher workshop covering the Civil Rights Movement and the presidency of John F. Kennedy. Educators will have the opportunity to explore Kennedy’s impact on the movement through analyzing primary sources and role–playing key people who helped influence President Kennedy on Civil Rights. Additional resources available from the museum will also be discussed. 

Important Session Information:


This 1/2 day virtual session will allow teachers to explore and learn about some of the amazing resources offered by the Sixth Floor Museum of Dallas, Texas. Additionally, specific focus will be given to Civil Rights and Kennedy's legacy. Educators will have the opportunity to explore Kennedy's impact on the movement through analyzing primary sources and role-playing key people who helped influence President Kennedy on Civil Rights.
