Librarian Book Study on Reader, Come Home

Join librarians across Region 12 and embark on a six-week online book study of Maryanne Wolf’s book, Reader, Come Home: The Reading Brain in a Digital World. Wolf has crafted a text where the reader will delve into letters intended to invite the reader to contemplate the impact technology has had, specifically, on reading identities, and what it might mean for us in the coming years. As we read, we will explore the implications of the ideas in the text & how it might inform how we cultivate literacy in schools. We will also consider connections, implications, and insights regarding the six strands in the library standards.
