Information:
Gifted and Talented Co-op members attend for the price of the book ($10).
This six week, instructor led book study will take place via a Canvas course. Participants will be assigned specific chapters to be read, questions to complete via a discussion board with optional live Zoom meetings for discussion twice during the book study.
Participants will need to pay a materials fee to receive a paperback copy of the text, Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper, to be picked up at the ESC the week prior to the book study beginning. Pick up times will be announced.
This book study will align to the Effective Schools Framework in the Positive School Culture and the High-Quality Curriculum levers. This study supports and models practices and policies that demonstrate high expectations and shared ownership for student success, with a drive towards college and career readiness and postsecondary success. Instructional materials and processes discussed support students with varied learning needs.
