Heartsaver CPR/AED for Non-medical Personnel
2020 American Heart Association guidelines




Who should take the course?

Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card. Besides staff chosen by administration to have this course, coaches, teachers, UIL personnel, and others who will be alone with students are often required to have this training.

This course covers the following: 

• Adult CPR and AED Use and Adult Choking

• Opioid-associated Life-threatening Emergencies

• Child CPR and AED Use and Child Choking

• Infant CPR and choking


Important Session Information:


Instructor-led training Heartsaver classroom courses feature group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an AHA Instructor. You must be able to pass the skills test; no written test is given with this course.
