With NEW STAAR Item types coming, reading and writing in the math classroom play an even larger role. There are many opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding of content beyond reading the word problem and writing a paragraph on why you love math.

In this session, participants will experience and explore opportunities for meaningful reading and writing in the math classroom, as well as look at how these strategies support success with the NEW STAAR item types.
