This interactive webinar series has proven to be an excellent source of continuing education for many speech pathologists and other school staff since 2012. In this series, we are once again offering high-quality learning opportunities, so speech pathologists and speech pathology assistants can improve upon their existing skill set. There is an increasing number of culturally and linguistically diverse students who are English Language Learners (ELLs) in America’s schools; many of these children come from backgrounds of poverty. Professionals frequently experience challenges with differentiating language differences from language impairments in ELs who are struggling in school. This workshop addresses non-biased assessment strategies and materials that can be used to differentiate language differences from language impairments in ELs from any linguistic background.
