Participants will examine the roles and responsibilities for paraprofessionals regarding instructional and behavioral supports for students who receive special education services.

Topics include disability awareness, common types of misbehavior and appropriate interventions, understanding of the special education process and guidelines, and duties when working with teachers and students in classrooms within inclusive settings, as well as self-contained special education settings.
