Multi-Sensory Books to Support Literacy for Students with Multiple Impairments

Multi-sensory books are a great way to foster the development of literacy skills in students with significant disabilities. In this session you will learn about object books, routine books, concept books, and experience books to support independence and literacy. Participants will learn all of the ways Multi-Sensory Books can improve learning for students with Low Incidence Disabilities and/or Multiple Disabilities. Materials are provided for teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers of students with low incidence or multiple disabilities including those with visual impairment and deafblindness.
Important Session Information:
Participants will leave the session with a completed Adapted Book to take back to their classroom.
