K-1 Math/Science Journals and Foldables




In the morning, participants will create a math or science journal. We will discuss the components of what should be included in a journal. Next, we will discuss the basic folds. We will advance to different folds and foldables with envelopes. Throughout the day, we will discuss ideas of how to use these folds with math and science content standards. We will also discuss how a journal connects to the process standards in both math and science. The participants will leave with an example journal to use as an exemplar for their classroom.

This session includes a $20 materials fee. Enhanced Curriculum Co-op members and SI Engage Campuses may attend for the $20 material fee. Continuous Improvement Campuses may attend for $65.
