This training includes the Child Find, Evaluation, and ARD Supports Statewide Technical Assistance Network recorded webinars Writing Effective Impact and Need Statements in the Full and Individual Evaluation and Writing Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance and Developing Measurable Annual Goals

Webinars will be facilitated by the presenter. The recording will be paused to allow open discussion of content and complete other hands-on activities that are coordinated to help improve the learning experience. Participants are encouraged to bring a completed FIE report. From this report participants will identify information contained in the report to be able to 1) write an appropriate impact and needs statement for the FIE or 2) improve the impact and needs statement in the FIE. Writing Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance and Developing Measurable Annual Goals- This webinar consists of content related to PLAAFPs (the federal law and state guidance related to PLAAFPs that identify a student’s strengths, baseline data, and critical areas of need), annual academic goals (the purpose and importance of measurable annual goals and a four-step process for developing annual academic goals), and annual functional goals (the purpose and importance of functional goals and a four-step process for developing a functional goal).
