Everything You Learned in Graduate School and Forgot as a Practitioner: Ethical Dilemmas in Assessment




This session will provide a thought-provoking discussion of ethical issues that school psychologists face. Through examples and interactive participant discussion, the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) ethical principles and their application will come to life. Participants will develop strategies for responding to different scenarios in an ethically appropriate manner. This session will highlight common assessment practices that LSSPs engage in. This session will review concepts taught in graduate school such as reliability, validity, as well as sensitivity and specificity and why these terms still matter.  This session is appropriate for participants of all levels.
