This workshop is designed to assist CTE teachers to increase the rigor and
relevance for all their students. Texas students must be prepared for a changing and
increasingly complex future. The new CTE TEKS specify what students must know and
be able to do to succeed in completing endorsements to prepare students for entry-level
courses at post-secondary institutions in Texas or enter directly into the workforce . This
workshop will also focus on the nine required uses of Perkins, which include working with
non-traditional and special populations.
