Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) for Reading by Design (RbD)




Only participants who have received a certificate of completion in Reading by Design may attend this session; proof of RbD course completion is required.

Participants will gain insight on how to adapt the RbD curriculum to meet the specific needs of students who are dyslexic and receiving special education services.  


Important Session Information:


PRE-REQUISITE:  A certificate of completion for the RbD training is required. Please bring your own copy of either Volume 1, 2, 3,or 4. 

Please email a copy of your certificate to both Traci Newman and Rachael Kocian (tnewman@esc12.net; rkocian@esc12.net) prior to registering for this session.

In this session, special education teachers will learn how to adapt content, methodology, and delivery of instruction (specially designed instruction) of Reading by Design: An Individualized Literacy Intervention for students identified through IDEA as having dyslexia.
