Volume 0 - Getting Ready for Reading by Design: Non-Dyslexia Trained
For those paraprofessionals or teachers not trained in a dyslexia program




This class is designed for the beginning teacher or paraprofessional new to dyslexia. This session is part of a series of Reading by Design intervention trainings. This course will introduce participants to Volume 0- Getting Ready for Reading by Design, a volume of 20 lessons designed for students who need extra support with foundational reading skills. This material is designed to support foundational literacy before beginning a program like Reading by Design. Lesson components include phonological awareness, alphabet, fine motor, oral language, and components of language. Participants will receive a Volume 0 teacher guide, an alphabet deck, a feelings poster, and a set of vocabulary picture cards. 

Important Session Information:


Dyslexia Screening time is almost here. What's the plan for those students who score, "at-risk?" Send that fantastic paraprofessional or interventionist to this training! This full-day session will introduce participants to Volume 0 - Getting Ready for Reading by Design. Volume 0 is appropriate for any Tier 2 or Tier 3 student who continues to struggle with alphabet skills, phonological awareness, oral language, fine motor and/or listening comprehension. Previous dyslexia training is NOT required for this session.
