Special Education Desk Review Support Training




This session will introduce you to a Desk Review Checklist that will assist your LEA in identifying areas of noncompliance as you prepare for a TEA comprehensive desk review.  In addition, we will share a systematic process that highlights areas of strength and noncompliance that will support your LEA in continuous improvement.  This session is intended  for Special Education Directors, Special Education Leadership Team Members, ARD Facilitators, Diagnosticians, LEA Transition Coordinators, LEA Behavior Coordinators, LSSPs, and staff members involved in reviewing/auditing IEP folders. 

Items Needed: One Initial student IEP folder (actual folder, not just online IEP) and one transition student IEP folder, post-it notes, highlighter, print out of desk review checklist handout.
