Building Thinkers Learning Series




The Building Thinkers Learning Series is designed to provide K-12 teachers and instructional coaches with a variety of tools and strategies to enhance clarity of instruction and communication in the classroom, leading to improved student outcomes. 
Participants will learn how to design activities and lessons that prioritize 
• critical thinking 
• academic student discourse
• productive struggle
• authentic student engagement
• success criteria and student learning outcomes
• and more!
All participants will receive The Teacher Clarity Handbook by Douglas Fisher, Nancy Frey, Olivia Amador, and Joseph Assof as well as digital access to presentation slide decks for use in professional learning at the district or campus levels.

Important Session Information:


The Building Thinkers Learning Series will consist of three full days:
• Tuesday 9/12/23
• Wednesday 10/18/23
• Tuesday 1/23/24
By registering for this Learning Series, participants will be automatically registered for these two conferences. If you are not able to attend either of these conferences, please email registration@esc12.net at your earliest convenience. 
• Innovative Teaching & Learning Conference Monday 7/17/23
• Literacy Conference Thursday 11/9/23

This learning experience is aligned to Effective Schools Framework Essential Action 4.1: Daily use of high-quality instructional materials aligned to instructional planning calendars and interim. 

Enhanced Curriculum Co-op members may attend at half price. If you work at a SI Engage campus, please email crowe@esc12.net to determine eligibility.
