How can you craft a clear, manageable and responsive approach to help your students become better readers, writers and thinkers? Novels! Replace traditional novel study and worksheet packet with increased opportunities for wide reading with peers, innovative ways to respond in writing and sustained motivation. This session will focus on identifying the skills your students need to learn, choosing whole-class text that will be relevant to your students, and designing ways to turn the reading of a text into an exciting experience for the students.
