Autism/LID: Creating a Strong Academic Foundation in the Classroom

This session will provide information on autism spectrum disorders and and how to use evidence based teaching practices in the classroom to best support the learning of students diagnosed with ASD. Participants will explore multiple evidence based teaching practices for students with ASD, learn about students with ASD and the relation of executive functioning skills, and strategies to support deficits in this area. Participants will also walk away with many new online resources for determining prerequisite skill level, behavior supports, functional support resources, and more.
