Orientation to the Texas Education Code (online course)




The Orientation to the Texas Education Code is designed to provide training for all new school board members within their first 120 days of service on the board. It provides a basic introduction to school board service and builds knowledge on roles and responsibilities, rules, laws and general information surrounding board member expectations. The only authorized provider of this training is Education Service Centers.

Important Session Information:


This online course will satisfy the requirement for the Orientation to the Texas Education Code (TEC) for school board members. The course will remain open for 14 days upon registration and will take approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete. It does not have to be completed all in one sitting.
