Tactile Symbols for Students with Visual Impairment




During this session we will discuss the unique communication needs of students with visual impairment and complex access needs. We will discuss how Teachers of Students with Visual Impairment can use the products available from APH to meet their student's needs. The continuum of communication from cause and effect to the use of tactile symbols can increase student's agency, anticipation, and participation in functional expressive and receptive language and literacy activities.
