Knowledge that Sticks: Integrating Retrieval Practice for Enhanced Learning in Social Studies

"Wait. We learned this!?" Does it ever feel like you're filling buckets of knowledge just to have them spring a leak each day? Dive into the cognitive science behind retrieval practice and explore how it enhances long-term retention and promotes deeper understanding for students! The session will address the benefits of incorporating regular retrieval activities so that the learning environment gets an interactive boost as knowledge becomes sticky. Participants will leave equipped with a toolkit of retrieval techniques and strategies that they can embed into their lessons to promote effective information recall.
