Diving into the K-8 SEP and RTC Standards for Science




Are you ready to surf on the waves of the new science TEKS or do you feel like you’re going to be wiped out by them? Let us help! In this session, participants will explore the new Scientific and Engineering TEKS. We will also review ways to emphasize the Reoccuring Themes and Concepts. Participants will experience how to teach these new standards through the lens of STEM. In addition, connections will be made to new STAAR item types. The afternoon of this session will include grade specific breakout session opportunities. This session addresses academic vocabulary needs of EB and content language strategies will be infused throughout.
