Exploring 3-4 New Science TEKS




The new science TEKS will be implemented this school year! In this session, we will explore and discuss the changes and how they will affect your choice in instructional practice. The TEKS have shifted from only scientific method to a more robust STEM focus, including recurring themes and concepts. Understanding this shift is important as we consider the impact this will have on the new STAAR item types. This session addresses academic vocabulary needs of EB and content language strategies will be infused throughout.
