Preparing for 5th Grade New Science TEKS




With the significant changes to the 5th grade science TEKS, this 2-day session will allow for exploration and discussion of the changes and provide collaboration and work time to prepare instructional materials and moves to meet the expectations of STEM focused instruction as laid out in the new standards. In addition, we will connect the new TEKS to the STAAR item types and share about the latest updates for the 2025 STAAR. This session addresses academic vocabulary needs of EB and content language strategies will be infused throughout.
