Six Syllables Types Never Tasted So Sweet K-2

Understanding the 6 syllable types is key in supporting students in developing as readers. Teaching syllable types can help all readers and writers build a deeper understanding of phonics. Becoming aware of the placement of the vowel within a syllable can help to unlock the “code” of our English language.  This training will help teachers organize decoding and spelling instruction by giving them detailed description of each sweet syllable type, the steps to implement sweet syllable type instruction, and specific strategies that can be taught to assist students to decode.
