Active Learning for VI Professionals




This active learning session will be based on the Modules provided through Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the training/informational website www.activelearningspace.org; which is a collaborative project of Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Perkins School for the Blind, and Texas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired. We will be working our way through the modules focusing on the following:

-Overview of Active Learning
-What is Pay?
-Pathways to Learning
-Dynamic Learning Cycle
-Emotional Development
-5 Key Points of Active Learning
-Communicating with the Learner
-5 Phases of Educational Treatment


Important Session Information:


We will also cover the following topics:

-Assessing and IEP Goal Development using the Functional Scheme and FIELA Curriculum
-Documenting Progress
