Integrating Multiple Sources of Data into the FIE
A Focus on Task Analysis

In the first part of this session, participants will use provided case studies to strengthen their ability to identify a pattern of strengths and weaknesses using multiple sources of data. The session will begin by examining how to identify trends in a task analysis of norm-referenced tests. The task analysis results will be integrated with informal, curriculum-based, and criterion-referenced data to help identify a pattern of strengths and weaknesses. All of the integrated data will be used to make recommendations for accommodations and develop robust impact statements that explain a student's disability and critical areas of need(s).
In the second part of this session, participants will have an opportunity to apply the skills learned to an FIE of their own. It is recommended participants bring at least one referral (completed or in progress) including testing protocols and other referral information.
