ESC Region 12 New Counselor Academy
2025-2026 Cohort Class




The ESC Region 12 New Counselor Academy is designed to support new counselors as they build comprehensive and effective counseling programs across our region. Based on the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs (5th edition), the Academy also offers an opportunity for currently assigned school counselors to dedicate time and work space for addressing program needs based on mandates from the recent 86th legislative session. Seating is limited to 30 to ensure a collaborative, empowering, and supportive environment for all participating counselors.  

Important Session Information:


Counselor Membership members may attend the discounted fee of $250.

The contracted amount is for all 4 sessions for the cohort and covers any materials, resources, and the meal on 11/18/25. 

Dates are:

Thursday, September 26th, 2025 9-12 at Region 12 

Thursday, November 18th, 2025  9-3 *Lunch Served at Region 12

Tuesday, February 17th, 2026 9-12 at Region 12

April 30th, 2026  9-12 at Region 12
