Content Based Language Instruction (CBLI) facilitates high quality instruction for Emergent Bilingual students. This self- paced online course will introduce Bilingual, ESL and general education teachers to a research-based model of CBLI outlined in the TEA Implementation Rubrics. 

Although this is an excellent session for anyone who works with Emergent Bilingual students, participants will leave with many instructional ideas and techniques that are effective for all students learning academic language.

This professional development self-paced course via Canvas equips educators with strategies and basic understanding to integrate language instruction into any and all content areas, enhancing student comprehension, engagement, and progress in language development. Designed for teacher onboarding, it focuses on the scaffolding techniques, academic vocabulary development, and culturally responsive teaching. Educators will learn to support multilingual learners ( Emergent Bilinguals) while strengthening overall classroom communication. Participants will gain confidence in delivering content-rich lessons that foster language acquisition and academic success.
