ESC Speech Pathology Webinar Series
Ethical Autism Services: Contemporary Research, Lived Experiences & The Neurodiversity Paradigm

This interactive webinar series has proven to be an excellent source of continuing education for many speech pathologists and other school staff since 2012. In this series, we are once again offering high-quality learning opportunities, so speech pathologists and speech pathology assistants can improve upon their existing skill set. Developed through the thoughtful collaboration of ALL twenty education service centers, we have secured respected presenters to deliver timely and high-level learning topics, all conveniently delivered to your computer/device.  The more informed you are, the better prepared you are to serve your students.  Join us throughout the school year for any one, a few, or all of our SLP webinars.

Important Session Information:

A rapidly expanding body of peer-reviewed autism research, particularly from Autistic scholars and qualitative studies centering Autistic experiences, is reshaping how autism services providers approach assessment, goal development, and intervention. Grounded in this research and guided by the principles of the neurodiversity paradigm (Walker & Raymaker, 2021), this session examines what ethical, evidence-informed support for Autistic students can and should look like in public school settings.
