G/T 6hr Update - The Twice-Exceptional Brain: Brilliantly Re-Wired with Infinite Possibilities
6-hr Update in Austin, TX at ESC Region 13

The twice exceptional brain brings with it both possibilities and sometimes challenges. In this interactive session, Dr. Layne Pethick from ESC Region 10, will discuss and help with understanding the brilliantly re-wired brain of a twice-exceptional learner. Participants will get an in-depth look at how the brain learns, how the brain creates behaviors and how we can provide better supports and interventions. Other topics of discussion for the twice-exceptional learner will include: trauma, mental health, screen time/technology, literacy/reading, play, movement, and fun in the classrooms. Participant should be ready to laugh, move, and have fun while they learn!
