Establishing a Multidisciplinary Team to Support Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Disorders
A Guide for Special Education Directors




The purpose of this course is to provide a framework that Special Education Directors and Coordinators can use to establish a multidisciplinary team that can provide consistent, evidence-based evaluation and treatment practices to students with complex feeding and swallowing needs. 

Information provided during this training is consistent with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to promote adequate nutrition/hydration, safety, and efficiency of students' feeding and swallowing skills during mealtimes to benefit their educational program and to preserve their right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).
