Psychological First Aid
Empowering Resiliency: Psychological First Aid for Schools

Schools are typically the first service agencies to resume operations after a disaster/emergency and can become a primary source of community support during and after an incident. Trauma-related distress from exposure to these events can have a long-term impact if left untreated. In this training, school personnel and community partners will learn about best practices for supporting staff and students as they resume operations after a crisis situation.

Important Session Information:

When a school community is shaken by crisis, your immediate presence is the bridge between chaos and recovery. This session equips school responders with the Psychological First Aid (PFA) framework to stabilize emotions and foster a sense of safety for students and staff alike. You will master evidence-based techniques to mitigate acute distress, preventing long-term trauma through the power of compassionate, practical intervention. Step into your role as a catalyst for healing and lead your school from vulnerability back to strength.
