Restorative Practices Tier 1 Training for Administrators (Virtual)




This comprehensive training is designed for administrators and educators to deepen their understanding of Restorative Practices, specifically focusing on the Community Building Circle (Tier 1), Respect Agreements, and I-Message communication techniques. This 6-hour training provides clear notes, real-life examples, and detailed explanations to model effective implementation of these practices in the school setting. Participants will learn how restorative strategies build relationships, strengthen classroom culture, and support positive student behavior.

Training Objectives
Participants will:

  • Implement effective community-building circles in their classrooms or campuses
  • Strengthen relationships between educators and students, and among student peers
  • Empower students to self-regulate behavior using Respect Agreements and I-Messages

Important Session Information:


  • This is an online training conducted via Zoom.
  • Registrants will receive an email with REQUIRED pre-work prior to the Zoom session.
  • Participants will take detailed notes and participate in interactive role-play activities, so it is important to be intentionally present and engaged.
  • Please log into your Region 12 ESC account to verify that your email address is correct. The email in your Region 12 account will be used to send session materials and important information prior to the training.
