This three-day, campus-team learning series equips principals and their Campus Leadership Teams to build, implement, and sustain a coherent instructional system aligned to the FLIPS (Foundational Leadership of Instructional Practices and Systems) Playbook. Across three full-day sessions spanning the school year, teams will establish and operationalize their Campus Leadership Team, design observation and feedback systems and PLC structures that strengthen Tier 1 instruction, and build data and progress-monitoring routines that drive continuous improvement — culminating in a campus-specific Instructional Systems Playbook. Content is grounded in two Corwin texts, How Leadership Works and Consequential Leadership, and each day produces concrete, campus-ready tools rather than theory alone.
Day 1 (Sept 3): Building the Foundation — Campus Leadership Team systems
Day 2 (Oct 5): Strengthening Instruction — Observation, Feedback & PLCs
Day 3 (Nov 5): Driving Outcomes & Sustaining — Data, Progress Monitoring & the Instructional Systems Playbook
Additionally, as a bonus, registration in Principal Academy garners complimentary registration to two Corwin guest speakers on January 22 and March 30, 2027.
Districts participating in the Leadership Membership (Co-op) may attend this series for no additional charge.
This training meets the School Improvement requirements for FLIPS. SI Engaged campuses may attend free as part of their interventions.
