This full-day session shifts PLC work from prep and planning toward what actually moves students forward: building shared understanding of TEKS and HQIM, making intentional instructional decisions, and responding to real student needs. Working from the five essential questions, Where are we now? Where are we going? How do we move learning forward? What did we learn today? Who benefited and who did not?, teams will spend the day moving from framework to practice, leaving with the clarity, tools, and shared direction needed to turn state standards and quality materials into meaningful student growth.
Across the day, you'll:
- Connect the PLC+ framework directly to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS)
- Examine spotlight cases from small and rural Texas schools to see how PLC+ works across diverse campus contexts
- Work hands-on with ready-to-use tools and protocols for each of the five essential questions—with built-in time to apply them to your own campus data and plan your first moves.
Come with a team if you can. The day is designed so colleagues leave with shared language, a common set of protocols, and a concrete plan to put PLC+ to work the moment they're back on campus. All participants will receive a copy of the e-book.
