Designed for school counselors entering their first year in the profession—or transitioning to a new campus, grade level, or assignment—this session provides the foundational tools and confidence needed to hit the ground running. Participants will explore essential topics such as building a comprehensive school counseling program, navigating campus culture, managing time and competing priorities, and establishing effective systems for student support and crisis response. Attendees will also gain practical strategies for collaborating with administrators, teachers, and families while clarifying their role and responsibilities within the campus community. By the end of this session, new counselors will leave with a clear roadmap, actionable resources, and a supportive network to help them thrive in their new role.
