This zoom course provides training on nutritional standards for competitive foods, such as Smart Snacks, as well as the operational requirements to ensure compliance with program regulations. Participants will be able to define federal regulations for competitive foods sold
outside of the National School Lunch Programs (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) and identify criteria for determining which foods and beverages can be sold in schools during the school day. Hands on activities will also take place to reinforce the use of available tools to ensure compliance with regulations and access helpful resources for planning.
