This session focuses on best practices for calibrating T-TESS summative appraisals to ensure ratings are accurate, consistent, and aligned across appraisers. Participants will learn strategies for calibrating evidence, identifying rating patterns and rater drift, and ensuring summative ratings accurately reflect teacher performance throughout the T-TESS cycle. Using the strong bodies of evidence, participants will analyze summative trends, strengthen inter-rater reliability, and develop a systematic process for conducting summative calibration that supports valid appraisal data, meaningful feedback, and stronger alignment between observation ratings and student growth.
