The Special Education Paraprofessional Series consists of online professional development courses for paraprofessionals that are designed to provide information and resources necessary to support the growth and achievement of students with disabilities.

There are 13 disability categories identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) that help schools determine eligibility for special education services and supports. In this interactive virtual session, participants will gain a practical understanding of these disability categories, explore common characteristics and support needs, and learn strategies to better support divers learners in school settings.
