Emotional intensity is a superpower? Yes! One of the best. Participants will learn how students can harness the strengths that lie in emotional intensity first. We will explore the power of emotions and offer tips you can use to help your gifted children activate their natural superpower.

--- Designing for Depth: Utilizing Wonder to Drive a Willingness to Invest
Wonder leads to a willingness to invest. In the gifted classroom, we often plan for what to do when learners don’t understand, but what happens when they do? Gifted learners don’t simply need something different; they need something deeper that honors their natural curiosity. When we bridge the gap between a student's wiring for wonder and the curriculum, we ignite the willingness required for them to truly dive into their work.

--- A Little Weird is Good
For this fun and unique presentation, we will embrace everything that is good about being "a little weird." We will discuss the importance of living authentically, the impact of masking/camouflaging for neurodivergent people, and the importance of risk taking.

This session will fulfill the requirements of the Texas State Plan for Gifted Education regarding an annual 6 hour update.
