Grade 8 Social Studies STAAR Institute: Day 2
The Constitution, New Republic, and Age of Jackson




The 2016-17 Grade 8 Social Studies STAAR Institute includes four independent sessions focusing on the best ways to present the content of US History to boost student learning and improve performance on the STAAR. Each day will focus on a specific set of standards and resources to teach those standards.  Day 2, The Constitution, New Republic, and Age of Jackson, will explore the TEKS and resources available for the second quarter of the Grade 8 social studies class.    Aside from studying the content, new strategies will be introduced each day using the content and resources of the standards. Processes, strategies, and possible accommodations will be presented for providing instruction to your struggling learners.

Enhanced Curriculum Co-op members may attend at no additional cost.

We recommend participants register for the remaining days of the Grade 8 Social Studies Institute.
